What does the Muslim say when he visits the graves?

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ، أَنْتُمْ لَنَا فَرَطٌ، وَنَحْنُ لَكُمْ تَبَعٌ، أَسْأَلُ اللهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ

Peace be upon you all, O inhabitants of the graves, amongst the believers and the Muslims. Verily we shall, if Allah wills, join you. You are our predecessors and we follow you (we are your successors). I ask Allah for salvation for us and you.
